Editing Toolbox: How to Avoid Breaking Depth of Field

Planes of focus are those parts of an image that is in sharp focus. If you're shooting at a low angle, using a long lens, a shallow depth of field, or a combination of all 3, the plane of focus is usually quite small.
It's really important in your editing process to avoid 'breaking' the plane of focus. Removing distractions can leave tell tale signs that often become more of a distraction than the object that was removed.
